These hooks
are made in Western Kenya from scrap tin from the local bottling factory.
Each wall hanging has two hooks. Colors will vary but each is an
array of brightly colored fish, with a dolphin on the top.
Wooden Coat Hooks
From the coast of East Africa come
these intricately carved, wooden coat hooks. They are made using centuries
old techniques especially perfected around the exotic Indian Ocean islands
of Lamu, Manda and Pate. In these islands exists a mixed culture borne of
African, Arab and Asian interaction spanning thousands of years.
