Welcome to City of Hope
City of Hope is the Center that houses the Temak Project, Katolo Community Center Project and other Projects also. Through much prayer in 2003, God put into our hearts the task of building the CITY OF HOPE, a centre that will cater for 900 girls from teenage mothers and children. THE CITY OF HOPE is the place where hope and support will be found by these most vulnerable groups in our society.
The building project is projected to house ten Vocational Training Workshops, eight Primary school classrooms and a Kindergarten, Half-way home, Dormitory for the girls, a Multi-Purpose Hall, an Administrative Block, a Clinic, a Counseling Unit and a Chapel.

God has also given us THE NEHEMIAH strategy as outlined in Nehemiah Chapter 3, to call on Missions and Teams from the body of Christ to come and help build the CITY OF HOPE. With each team's support, as the Lord enables them, we can build together the CITY OF HOPE to the glory of God.
BACKGROUND
For the last ten years, TEMAK has worked with the Hurting women and orphans, providing much needed Vocational Training, Medication, Spiritual Counseling, Economic Empowerment, Home-based care for those living with HIV, Food, Spiritual Growth and Community Foster care for orphans. In the process TEMAK has also been ministering and witnessing to over 95,000 young women and adolescent girls from a girl-child friendly Rehabilitation and Training Centre situated in Tom-Mboya Estate, Kisumu - Kenya.
The facility housing the Centre currently can allow us to cater for 172 young mothers and girls and only about 95 children. With the increasing needs especially due to the rising death tolls of parents from HIV/AIDS related diseases, there has been an urgent need for TEMAK to be expanded.
The Africa mission Committee at the North West Baptist Church Oklahoma can be contacted as our partners in this noble cause.
