The nursery has 12 Different seedlings of high value trees and herbal trees.

The tree nursery and planting project aims to achieve the following by the year 2008

1. To plant 3million trees in East Kano Location by the year 2000
2. To plant and increase the usage of herbal medication by 1 million trees
3. To increase fertility of soils and gardens by inter planting crops with high value trees
4. A forestation of the water catchments
5. Turning 4 Schools into green Schools by planting trees in their compounds taken care of by the children in the School.
6. Protection of galleys and waterways through tree planting.
7. Establishing 6 Tree nurseries within the Location run by widows and caregivers.

Already going is the project to plant trees in Schools, Nursery establishment and sourcing of seeds. 12 community members have been mobilized and trained and on form growing of trees and catchment protection is going on.

3 schools are also being mobilized to make them green schools as a way of training children to love nature and plant more trees.
