A PLACE TO CALL ‘HOME’:

“TEMAK is a city of refuge that has really instilled hope back to my life because I had loosed it a while ago. I really feel encouraged because I shall be able to have a career job after training here in tailoring and dressmaking and hence I shall be independent.

There is only one challenge that I can say I am going through right now as a single mother and it is that I and my baby walk for one hour to TEMAK because we lack money for transport every morning.

Carrying my baby is a very hard task because it feels like I am doing a punishment of carrying a whole bag of cement on by back and walking with it for a whole mile without resting. I really wish there were boarding facilities here at TEMAK so that we don’t have to struggle with our children on the way as we come for training.

I pray that there will be a place to call ‘home’ in future for the teenage mothers to board in as they go through their vocational training skills. May God bless TEMAK.”
