Katolo Community center >> Rehabilitation and building of rural schools

TEMAK through its village program at Katolo has helped to rehabilitate and build into bricks two primary Schools and one Secondary School. The Katolo Mixed Secondary School which was found closed and dumped by the community due to parents inability to pay School fees was revived 5 years ago through effort of TEMAK and to date has managed to sit for national exams twice since revival.

The School had only two classrooms 5 years ago and with the help of the community, TEMAK has been able to support in putting up all the necessary classrooms, Laboratory and finally with a little help from the Government three teachers houses. The challenge now is to have better facilities at the School and build a boys and girls boarding facility and more classrooms to cater for the ever increasing number of form one applicants.
