 OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide knowledge and information on Traditional and Cultural values of the Luo community.

  2. To collect and document local content material for dissemination to the community both in print, media, Documentaries and Audio.

  3. Provide resource materials for reading and reference for community members and school children.

To date the resource center has managed to: 

  • Collect and display traditional tools and equipment.

  •  To source for relevant books, periodicals, magazines etc.

  •   To source for relevant books, periodicals, magazines etc.

  • Collect and document indigenous knowledge from the local people.

  • Organize for information packaging through Video and Audio.

  • Document community indigenous values and methods of feeding, Agricultural practices, Livestock husbandry, Medication and treatment of diseases etc

Disseminate information, educate and train the community on Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Social and other related topics beneficial to the community.

TEMAK's retail centers offer a variety of handmade crafts ranging from Beaded Jewelry, Clothing and Textile, Soapstone, Household Items, Hyacinth and Sisal Items, Toys and Much More. Wholesale opportunities exist for interested business people.
