security 3 different types of tissue cultured Bananas; Orange fleshed Potatoes and 4 varieties of Cassava have been introduced in the community. Food security is a major concern for TEMAK in this poor rural community. By introducing foods that are resistant to draught and can withstand flooding has helped put food back to the table for many Aids Orphans in this village. The objectives of this food security projects are;
In the last three years, community training in Agriculture and value addition has taken place especially in seed sourcing. Demonstration plots have been Establish and training plots and farms identified in the community through contact farmers. Organic farming has been introduced and the community trained in marketing. Digging terraces and planting trees and fodder for flood control has been encouraged
