| A
visit to the City of hope construction site.
It was cheers, dancing and singing when the whole TEMAK family visited the land for the City of Hope with shouts of “God is good, He has heard our prayers”. The land for the City of Hope is here. We want to thank all that have given towards this project and special gratitude to Wayne and Marylynn McLemore who took a step of faith to fundraise for the land. This is God’s doing. Lunch programme begins. We have also started again our lunch programme after a request from the hurting women. It was realized that most of the mothers stay hungry and it is very difficult to learn when hungry. “A hungry stomach has no ears” The needy women will be making lunch for themselves. A big welcome and thanks to the directors Teachers’ training seminar There was a felt need to connect with teachers to do some training and brainstorming on the way forward. This was a one day seminar and Joab and Philomena encouraged the teachers to connect well with the teenage mothers so that they can be of help in all areas, including sexuality.

The
clinic.
Our clinic has also expanded to offer all laboratory services both to the mothers, their children and poor residence of Obunga slums. The women will now have a clinical officer who will be attending to them and their children. The community has received this move with a lot of gratitude since it is now the only clinic of it’s kind in the area . The clinic will also operate a VCT and anyone needing HIV test will get the service. Glory to God.

A
day of sharing
Lunch for parents or Guardians of the women and children at TEMAK. This was an eye opener to the parents, guardians as they watched their sons and daughters dance, sing and share testimonies. Mrs. Philomena then challenged them on their roles in helping the youth live right. When we opened up the meeting, for the guardians to respond, they were grateful and encouraging. We feel more supported as a result of that meeting. May the name of the Lord be praised.
