The
struggle to raise children orphaned by AIDS in Kenya's Nyanza Province |

A
caregiver has no alternative but to keep the orphans at home, weaving
sisal ropes for sale to enable the family get something to eat. TEMAK
supports them by providing for the education of the children.

Mama
Edwina does not know what to do with the orphans she cares for. TEMAK has
been providing medication, food and education to all the orphans. The caregiver
too has been given a loan to start a small business.

"We
must cater for ourselves as a child-headed household, our elder makes
ropes for sale so that we can eat and also go to school." TEMAK
supports by providing food, educational support and marketing of their
sisal ropes.
