ROSA’S STORY:

“Rosa Achieng came to my clinic with ailments and a lot of pain in her body. I tried to treat her but the illness persisted , one after the other. In this case, I transferred her to the TEMAK laboratory where she tested HIV positive. She is the lastborn in a family of seven children who have already died , leaving all their children with their old mother to take care of in their two roomed house at obunga village. The old woman is running small businesses to cater for the twenty three orphaned grandchildren and her only daughter that is now living with Aids. Personally as a nurse in TEMAK, I usually do follow ups for Rosa at her place and take to her drugs that can boost her immune system. More than that, we help them to fetch water and also clean the house. I can say that life in this particular home is more than remorseful because even getting a meal in a single day for the entire family is quite a challenge to this old mother and more so , the house is too small to accommodate all these children but all in all , they squeeze in to fit for the night each day. Today, Rosa ‘s health has vitally improved out of the immune boosters freely supplied to her by the TEMAK clinic. She is more than grateful to TEMAK.”
