Roger and Terri Randall housed TEMAK Director, Joab Othatcher, on his three week visit to Hawaii in 2002. While at Roger and Terri's house, Joab observed lots of differences in American eating habits and marveled at how God has blessed America with plenty of food.
Little did they know that Mr. Othatcher's mind at every meal time was focused on the starving children of Africa and he often wondered how he could transport the food on the table back to Africa. There always seemed enough to feed three times as many children as the number of adults at the table. Many months after Mr. Othatcher's departure, Roger and Terri decided to support orphan children by sending $50 a month for food. What a blessing they have been to the little hungry mouths of African and, more so, to the child-headed households and the old caregivers who take care of the many orphans left behind by AIDS. Keep it up Terri and Roger. You are a light unto the African child. God Bless you. |
