Tammy Wilson and her daughter, Jammi, met TEMAK Director Joab Othatcher at the first Christian Conference on HIV and AIDS in Washington DC. A friendship of sorts began which has grown into a beneficial relationship for the girls and children at TEMAK.
Jammi has been selling TEMAK craft and remitting funds that go a long way in supporting girls who are living with HIV. Her mother, Tammy, and her husband have pledged to donate to TEMAK whenever they can and last December, sent over Kshs100,000 (US$1265). The money was used in purchasing drugs and medication for treating opportunistic infections in adolescent girls, mothers and children living with HIV.
